This is the same bullet Magtech would use to make their own 7.62x51 M80 ammo, which is to say it is a 147 grain full metal jacket. Most importantly, Magtech does not include steel or any other ferrous metals while fabricating FMJs; as such this bullet cannot attract a magnet. The bullet’s mid-body cannelure facilitates handloading by establishing a tight foothold in the case mouth, and its concentric gilding metal jacket and evenly distributed lead core both provide the good rotational stability you need to pick off distant targets.

Please note: This is not loaded ammunition. This box of 1,500 component bullets will prove no more useful than a doorstop if you don’t own a reloading press!

But if you do own a reloading press, then you’re in for a real treat. These are the .308” diameter 147 grain FMJ bullets you need to load your own M80 ball ammunition, or experiment with loading any other kind of 308 Win ammo you set your mind to! These bullets have concentric jackets with crimping cannelures to prevent setback and facilitate seating to the correct depth. They also have boat tails, which not only improve their ballistic coefficient but also make them easier to seat in the case.

These bullets are just as fit for loading 30-06, 300 Win Mag, 300 AAC Blackout, and a host of other .30 cal ammo. They are the same FMJs that Armscor would have loaded themselves had they not so graciously sent them over from the Philippines instead!

Each bullet features a traditional cup-and-core design, and uses its tough copper jacket to ensure effectively deep penetration and its unjacketed lead tip to let loose crippling expansion. Winchester cites this bullet’s G1 BC as being 0.294, although the G1 BC you actually observe is quite naturally also dependent on several other factors. Please refer to any reputable handloader’s guide for data on .308” diameter 150 grain soft point bullets. Made in the USA!
